Week 22: So Tired!

Exhaustion is the name of the game. I can only imagine how it is going to be as I progress in the industry as a professional. But at the end of the day, at least it will be my choice how I do it and not someone else’s. I have so much that I want to do, but now is a good time to learn balance. I reiterate the realness of actually being exhausted because it’s not easy to work this hard in spite of it. But it only goes to show how determined I am to do what I need to do.

However tired I am, I’ve got work to do! So this week, I worked on sculpt enhancements and my tips with overlay.  My new instructor took the time to go over my credit sheet with me, and I came to find out that I need to really get on my reps in those categories. I am not going to find myself going over my August 20 completion date. Finding out where I am from a credit perspective not only tells me where I am in regard to completion, but it is helping me with my speed.  I cannot sit around and babysit a nail. I have to get it done. Learning how to be efficient, even in adding a little speed, is so important for me. I have to admit that I am somewhat of a perfectionist, so in the beginning I was so slow trying to make everything just right. I think over time I have found a balance and how I create that perfect look for my client. It has been quite interesting because I am harder on myself than anyone else, but I’m learning to accept the compliments and keep it moving.
