INM Brings Technical Training to New Zealand

INM takes educating its users seriously — especially in places like New Zealand where continuing education for nail techs is hard to come by. Responding to requests from INM distributors NAILX and Nails Plus, nail artist and salon owner Mindy Hardy accompanied INM president Garret Kellenberger and education/social media manager Pamela Mares to New Zealand in May to present several workshops for company educators and other techs interested in getting some pointers from Hardy.

The focus of two educator trainings — one in Christchurch and the other in Tauranga — was primarily product knowledge, with a lot of art and technique scattered throughout. There were also three-day trainings open to all nail techs that covered nail art and application skills. Nail art techniques included Sharpie art, acrylic 3-D flowers, folded bows, mermaid effect, French fade, and encapsulation.

“The response was positive and the attendees left each training feeling knowledgeable, fueled, and inspired, which was the goal,” says Kellenberger.
