As mentioned recently in a speech, it is not too late to go ahead and raise your prices now through mid November. I have received all kinds of requests for help with wording on the announcements and thought it would be best to make a few different versions and share them with you all. Please feel free to pick a version from the options below and tweak it to make it your own.

Option 1:

Please allow me/us to take the time to thank you for being a loyal salon guest! Your patronage is appreciated along with your time. I/We hope that you enjoy the effort that is put forth to make each of your visits safe and satisfying. Due to increased product costs and overhead, we are going to implement a service price adjustment as of _/_/_. This will allow us to continue to provide services that we go above and beyond state regulations to keep clean, in addition to being on the forefront of the newest trends and science in nail care via our continued education. Thank you for your understanding!

Option 2:

Please join me/us in celebration of the first annual service price adjustment. This will be a 3.7% increase each fall across all services. This adjustment will help ensure that I/we can continue to provide you with the top-notch services you have come to expect. It will cover the rising overhead costs that up until now I/we have been absorbing so that the business can become self-sustaining and available to you for many years to come! This is the minimum cost of living increase recommended to those of us employed in the U.S. Thank you for your loyalty and understanding!

Option 3:

At salon _______ I/we strive to provide you with a clean, safe service done by an educated professional. Education is a continual process that requires time and travel each year. By using professional products in the salon, we also incur rising product costs to ensure you are receiving a quality service that can be guaranteed.  At this time I/we need to perform a service price adjustment to compensate for the years that I/we opted to simply take a pay cut so that we did not have to pass on these rising expenses to you. To keep the privilege of doing your nails as a career option, these costs will need to be structured into the service pricing. I/we thank you so much for your loyalty and understanding!

I hope these statements inspire you to charge your worth!
