It is interesting how we go from some states wanting to eliminate our license to others wanting to add things onto the continuing education required to maintain the license.

Have you noticed that ABS Chicago is offering complimentary classes in conjunction with Chicago Says No More on the subject of domestic violence? The e-blast intones that a class on this matter is required for Illinois license renewal. It’s interesting that salon professionals would be required to take such a class. I wonder how things like that would be enforced or required if there were not licensing in place.

At any rate, this is a very important subject matter and something that is dear to my own heart. If you will be attending America’s Beauty Show in Chicago, please consider registering for one of the classes at no cost to you. You could be surprised at some of the signs and possibly save a life. There are many ways to die and yet still breathe; you could be the difference between a life worth living and a living death for someone.

While you are at the show, please come by the CND booth 1201 as I would love to see you and hear your thoughts on the class and the show!
