UK Nail Tech’s 24-Hour Nailathon Raises £1000 for Charity

Nail tech Alicia Clough of Lunula Nails and Beauty Studio celebrated the third anniversary of her salon by doing nails for 24 hours. The event raised £1000 for the charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young). “All clients showed up on time (thank god!) and most enjoyed having a glass of fizz while they had their treatments,” says Clough. “Throughout the event I felt fine and managed to stay pretty focused,” she adds. “However, Monday morning was a bit of a struggle.”

Alice Elizabeth Hair provided braids and waves, and a makeup artist, Natasha Lawer, joined to do makeup tutorials. Cuccio provided goody bags for all the clients who attended the event. “We also had some fantastic cakes made by Danielle West, the client who introduced me to the charity CRY, which she supports as her dear friend passed away of a sudden heart problem,” explains Clough.

“I can't believe how successful it was and how generous everyone has been,” says Clough. “Next year we will do it again to celebrate our fourth anniversary... hopefully raising more money for the chosen charity.”
