Yolanda Hernandez, the owner of Hair Today Nails Tomorrow in Fresno, Calif., created a stunning nail design that fulfills all bridal necessities for good luck — something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue— on a single tip.
The inspiration behind Hernandez’s nail art came from her past as a clothing designer. Hernandez used to design her own clothes and alter wedding dresses as well. “Sometimes brides wear their mother’s or grandmother’s old wedding dress,” says Hernandez. “I’d always end up snipping little corners of lace off as I refitted the dress and pieces of treasure like that can always be incorporated into your wedding day nail art.”
1. Create an almond shape at the tip of the nail in a light shimmery pink acrylic.

2. Glue lace onto the bottom, clear half of the nail.

3. Line one side of the pink almond tip with a band of white glitter and fade it diagonally into a clear natural glitter.

4. Cover the entire nail with clear acrylic. Shape the nail and apply gel top coat. Cure and cleanse the nail.

5. Build calla lilies with white and light green acrylic. Place gold beads into the center of each flower. Add a bow charm, placing a blue rhinestone in the center. Add ring charms or anything else you have that suggests marriage.
