Jane Weiner Moate demonstrates how to do Papel Picado Nails for Cinco de Mayo.

1. Start with a bright orange nail. Using a paint pen or a thin striper and black polish, paint a starburst off -center on the nail.

2. Make four small heart shapes inside the starburst.

3. To make the flower petals, paint a series of parenthesis around the starburst.

4. Complete the petals by adding two semicircles to the parenthesis. Finish the nail by adding random lines and dots to fill in the space. Allow to dry and finish with clear top coat.
