Hi!!

I was just reading the bead nail forum/topic, could anyone tell me in plain Englisch how to make these 2 nails?
I don't have a drill (yet) can i make a beadnail without it? I didn't understand a few words in the other topic.. like a craft wire and so on. I didn't came far with a dictionary

I really want to try this! Never seen one of those for real, only at the pics here!

So if someone is in the mood and has the time to explain.... i would be very greatfull

You said you want it in "PLAIN ENGLISH"...correct? You don't need a dictionary. Basically the craft wire is a thin wire from the craft store.

How I do mine is before I apply the tip, I cut a hole or rectangle, up to you. Some people use paper hole punchers, but what I did the 1st time was use the cuticle cutters (nippers) to cut out the shape. And then you take a piece of thin wire and I put the bead on it and I use nail glue. I place a drop or 2 of nail glue on the tip right near the hole, and at the bottom of the hole and place the wire on top. Once it dries, i think continue with applying the tip and acrylic.

Thanx chicagoprmami! But i even don't know what a craft means.. i know what a wire is but there are all sorts of wire... and i said before that some words are very hard to translate to my language!

And on the wire you put the bead? What is a bead in that sentence? I know it's a ball, but is it a bead of acrylic matching the size of the hole in the tip?? How do you put things in the hole..like glitters? I thought that when you finished the nail, there is air in that hole.. or water even..

I came as far as the hole in the tip but that's all, hope its clear why i don't come far ;)

Hey Tee! Nice to have a beadnailnewbie on my side hehe

Hi Xena,
Don't feel bad. Your English is real good. And your translation seems fine. I, too am very confused. I suppose it is because it is hard to explain a process in written form. It would be easier I'm sure if we could see it done.
If I find any pictures or any more information on it I will let you know. Good luck with your search!

okay, well, I took the time out to try and draw a picture of how it's done and what "CRAFT WIRE" is. This is a picture of the wire I use and step by step. Cut the piece of tip out (cirle, rectangle, anything), cut a piece of wire to cover hole and make it long enough to glue the wire on. Then i place a PLASTIC bead used to make necklaces or anything in the wire and then use nail glue to glue the wire with the bead on the nail tip. Then after the glue dries, I do my normal acrylic application on the nail. The bead should be able to move. There's no water, its just a cut out shape so the bead and swirl. I hope this helps!!!

check the pic!

Wooow thank you!! This really helps!!! I was thinking to difficult, because i saw pictures where it looks like you have a smal "bubble" with air and stones IN the nail! I didn't know that they were plastic beads

So very much thanx! Going to get me some craft wire also!!!

That diagram with steps was excellent Chicago! Thank you so very much. It all makes sense to me now. As far as I know, we in Canada don't have any nails like that? I think I may have to introduce that to some of my more adventurous clients. Thank you so very much!

Xena....looks like we are well on our way now!

Hehe Tee..

I would! I think it is a beautiful thing, but only on 1 finger.. a pinky or something! I think it is attractive! I still haven't had time to practice it, but i hope i have some time next week. A spiral nail is like 3D nailart.. you like it.. or you don't! I like extreme things.. only if there are not high build on the nail.. it must be wearable.. a spiral also don't have to be long.. just 1 twist. But that is all my opinion!

Do you like it? Or would you 'wear' it??

Greets!
