From my experience, you need to ensure the nail bed is prepared (cleaned) properly. You should check out the Nail geek website, they have some good tutorials.

Good luck

I know that feeling honey, i have been doing nails for a little over a year now an have only just eluminated the lifting.

Be sure to remove all cuiticles and once you have finished applying the acrylic, make sure you seal around the cuilicle property with your nail file
Hope this helps, as it is really depressing when this happens, it make you want to give up. But keep on trying, ask questions watch dvds read books, even have you own nails done . And you will get their.

Sorry Lorain but its not OPI doing you favors its your prep, if you do not prep correctly and thoroughly you will have lifting no matter what product you use...

AMEN!....lol It has nothing to do with OPI it has everything to do with the persons application and prep. 75% of all lifting problems can be eliminated in the prep stage if done properly.

I hand file, I use the file to push back the cuticle as I'm etching into the nail plate, also before you apply primer make sure to clean away all the nail dust and check for any shiny spots, that indicates that there is still oil on the nail plate. Make sure to apply primer and then move on to preping the nails on the next hand. When you come back to the first hand to apply the acrylic hit the nail with a second shot of primer then apply the acrylic while the primer is still wet. When you go to do your finish filing make sure to file the back at the cuticle area and get a nice bevele. I do this on all my clients and they hardly have any lifiting when they come back in for their two week fill.

Also a good tip for your clients is to have them buy some cuticle oil and apply it once a day to keep their acrylic enhancements pliable, it will help keep their nails looking great, keep their cuticles conditioned and its a great retail opportunity for you too!

Hope this helps!! !!!
