The third time was the charm for A Finer Touch Nail Spa in Grandview, Mo. After being nominated for the past three years as best nail salon by “The Steve Harvey Morning Show,” A Finer Touch finally brought home this national award. The Hoodie Awards are presented by comedian Steve Harvey and a few of his celebrity friends who honor local businesses, churches, high schools, and religious and community leaders for their excellence and contributions to their communities.
“Our loyal clients put us over the top after three years of nominations,” says spa owner Paula Knight-Osborne, a nail tech. “They are the reason we were nominated and they took us all the way to the top with their dedicated voting.” In business for 11 years, the spa offers the latest trends in nail and skin care. “Our most popular services are colored acrylics and our elaborate flat nail artistry,” she notes. The 2009 Hoodie Awards took place at the Mandalay Bay Hotel in Las Vegas, where Knight-Osborne received her award from actor Wayne Brady and “The Steve Harvey Morning Show’s” Carla Ferrell.
