Industry icon Vicki Peters passed away in the early hours of December 31, 2014 due to complications from cancer. She was less than a month shy of her 61st birthday. Peters, a nail professional who has been in our industry since its earliest days, held a variety of roles over her storied career — working in a salon, working for trade publications, competing, working for manufacturers and as a consultant, and even having her own line of products.
She has been a staunch advocate for nail technicians her entire career and never tired of the business. She committed herself to training new technicians and motivating others.
