Bit Material:  Diamond 

Diamond bits are made up of industrial diamond particles. They grind the surface of the nail as opposed to the cutting done by carbides.

Bit Material: Carbide

Carbide bits have cutting flutes which cut pieces of the material as opposed to grinding it. The cutting gives off a little less heat than the grinding of a diamond bit.

Bit Material: Swiss Carbide 

Swiss carbide bits have flutes as well, but they are made from a finer and better quality metal. This helps prolong the cutting edge of the tool and extend its use.

Backfill Bit

Backfills bits are designed to cut a new smile line for a fill. Shorter backfill bits cut out the area of the white tip that has grown out, while longer backfill bits are designed for an even larger area.

Tapered Barrel

This barrel bit is tapered and slightly smaller in length than a small barrel, and it can be used on the surface, at the cuticle, and for backfill cutting as well.

Small Barrel - fine

A slim barrel for surface shaping that is perfect for gels because it is not very aggressive. Slim barrel for surface shaping.

Small Barrel - medium

A slim barrel bit for surface shaping.

Small Barrel - coarse

Slim barrel for surface shaping and shortening.

Bubble Bit 

Used to repair those unsightly bubbles found in enhancements. Its small, ball-like shape enables the tech to drill out the bubble and make for a quick fill and repair job.

Circular Detail Bit

This circular detail bit uses a small thin wheel to make precise lines into the nail for specialized art work.

Cone Bit

Used to clean out the underside of the enhancement. The tapered end makes it an excellent bit for shorter nails.

Detail Bit

Designed to make precise lines into the nail for specialized art work.

Football Bit

Ideal for working underneath long nails and for removing the old enhancement material around the cuticle when preparing for a fill.

French Fill Diamond Bit

The mid-section of the French fill diamond bit is used to create a smile line for pink-and-white acrylic nails without causing premature lifting or air pockets. The top or bottom portion may be used to take down the remaining white of the nail.

Mandrel Bit & Sanding Band

A Mandrel bit used with a Sanding Band can be used like a barrel to shape enhancements, and they can be used to safely file a natural nail (using a fine grit sanding band) and prepare it for buffing. (Sanding bands must be disposed of after use on a single client.)

Natural Nails Bit

Natural nail bits are made from synthetic materials that are not as strong as bits used for enhancements so they will not damage nail beds. They can be used to smooth natural nails and cuticle areas.

Pedicure Bit

Pedicure bits are made to smooth down calluses quickly and easily. They are made of light filing materials and come in various shapes and sizes to target every area of the foot including the side walls of toes.

Torpedo Cone Bit

The torpedo bit’s shape enables the tech to work over the entire nail and not just around the cuticle. The rounded tip can cover more area in a quicker amount of time.

Under the Nail Cleaner

Sometimes called the UNC, this bit is long and thin to make it easier to clean the nail from under the free edge.

Natural Nail Buffer

The natural nail buffer can be used with buffing cream to bring nails to a nice and bright shine. For cleaning and sanitation of this bit, refer to your state board for proper procedures.
