The Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles has been offering nail services in their spa for years, but it wasn’t until this week that nails got a room of their own. The newly opened Nail Suite is an intimate sanctuary with four pedicure chairs and two manicure stations. Renowned Southern California spa designer Raad Ghantous & Associates was inspired by Hollywood elegance when designing The Nail Suite’s contemporary decor.

Hollywood’s influence also spurred a special relationship between The Nail Suite and SpaRitual. The spa already used SpaRitual’s products for their services, but now the Nail Suite will be offering SpaRitual nail lacquers, featuring their Award Season Collection. The collection includes Star Quality, The Manicure Goes To, After Party, Make and Entrance, Outstanding Performance, and Step and Repeat. These gold-capped polishes are making their debut just in time for Awards Season.

On hand to celebrate the opening of The Nail Suite was SpaRitual founder Shel Pink, who shared with me her nails as well as her goals for 2015. The brand is currently collaborating with Step Up. Twenty percent of profits made from SpaRitual Step Up  will be donated to the organization that inspires girls to be successful in the workplace and break the cycle of poverty. Pink will be speaking at an event for the organization in February, where 30 girls will get the opportunity to participate in a “speed mentoring” program (similar to speed dating) where they get to meet with multiple professionals one-on-one.

But of course Pink isn’t really one for speed. SpaRitual’s slow beauty philosophy has made them a standout in the industry. Pink’s advice for slowing down your routine in 2015 is to stretch and sweat. “Stretching is so good for the body, especially if you’re working on nails all day. Sweating detoxifies the body, so workout as often as you can,” says Pink who does yoga four times a week. Her ultimate tip for slowing down a bit is meditation, which she practices three times a day.

The Nail Suite will hopefully provide rest and respite for many. Even the nail technicians who work in The Suite are enjoying their new digs. “We were doing nails out of a converted room in the hotel,” says nail tech Dali Gandara who gave me a relaxing pedicure, “So it’s really nice to have this space. We’re even adding nail art to the menu, now that we have the room.”

How will you be slowing down in 2015? Are you looking to add any services or redesigning your space? Tell us in the comments below.
