Day One at Nail Those Profit Cruise

by Holly Schippers | February 5, 2015

The first day at sea on the Nail Those Profits cruise was a class day. Alex Fox of Scratch Magazine was first up with some amazing advice on photographing your nail work. If you ever have the chance to hear her speak please jump on it. Not only is her accent addicting to listen to, she is an intelligent wealth of information! She had examples of what not to do, how to make small changes for better photos, and even advice on taking cover worthy shots to submit to her for consideration.

Following this was a Nail Talk Radio round table discussion that was led by Braden and Athena of NTR along with the panel of educators teaching on the cruise. You can actually hear the round table discussion on the Feb 1, 2015 recording of NTR here

After a full morning of class, the memorial for Vicki was held that afternoon, and then cruisers had the rest of the day to themselves for fun. Dinner on that first night was a formal affair and I must say everyone was looking quite spiffy!

After dinner several from the group decided to hit up the on-board 80s dance party and cut loose for the night.

Finally came bedtime to get rested up for the next day of “nailcation”.

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

by Michele Baker

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
