Technique Tuesday: Color Block by Essie

by Sigourney Nuñez | February 24, 2015 | Bookmark +

After leading the Essie teams backstage at New York Fashion Week, Michelle Saunders created a spring-ready color block design. Follow these steps for the how-to.

1. Apply a thin layer of First Base base coat. Follow with two coats of Lilacism on the left half of each nail.

2. Polish the right half of each nail with two coats of Mint Candy Apple.

3. Paint a square with Bobbing for Baubles over Lilacism.

4. Using a striper brush dipped in Blanc, draw the borders between each color.

5. Complete the look with a shiny coat of Good to Go top coat.
