In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, California-based salon chain Bellacures has launched its “Ribbons for a Reason” program benefitting the Get In Touch Foundation. During the month of October, anyone who makes a $5 donation to the cause through Bellacures will receive a pink bow accent on the nail of her choice.
“Breast Cancer has touched so many of our lives, whether it be through a friend, a colleague, a family member, or a client,” says Bellacures founder Samira Far. “Whatever we can do to help bring us one step closer to a cure, we want to do. Our hope is that this program will not only raise money for the cause but also awareness of it.”
The Get In Touch Foundation provides breast health initiatives that educate girls in grades 5-12 to “get in touch” with their bodies through breast-self exam. For more information on the Get In Touch Foundation, visit www.getintouchfoundation.org.
