Here’s the final half of the Instagramfor salon professionals challenge assignments!
Thursday, September 22
I could not think of any better way to say this so here it is right from Jasmine Star for the photo of the day. Post a photo of your product or service and explain one of three things.
1. Why you love doing what you do?
2. What makes your product or service special?
3. Why your product or service is different than what anyone else offers?
As a business owner, it’s important to share with followers the deeper reasons for your business. Sure, it’s one thing to be good at what you do . . . It’s one thing to have a pretty Instagram account . . . But the main reason you run a business is to share your unique skills, talents, and qualities with the world. So show that off! Don’t be afraid to share what makes your business stand out.

Today’s photo is to post a photo from a midday walk, a stroll with your dog, or yoga in the park. It’s time to get active and show followers that you are a personality not just a service professional. We advise them to take care of themselves and we should be doing the same. Knowing you practice what you preach builds loyalty and trust.
The caption should explain what you’re doing and why you’re doing it. If you’re feeling stuck, simply fill in the blanks and post today!
Today I decided to step away from work for a bit and enjoy __________________ (list activity) because ________ is the reason I stay excited about doing what I love. What activity should I do tomorrow to ensure I take a break from my table/chair/etc.?

This is the final challenge day. Today you’ll post a photo that gives a peek into the behind-the-scenes aspects of your business. Share a photo displaying what it looks like when you’re busy doing what you love. This is a chance to use a photo if you’ve done anything outside the salon like editorial work, volunteer work, or show off the clean staff breakroom, yourself in a class or at a tradeshow.
Followers get excited to see how you do your craft, what you’re wearing, and the tools you use to produce your work.
The key is to invite viewers to experience an inside look into your business as a way to stand out. Remember, the more you include your followers on your journey, the more likely they’ll engage on Instagram and engagement is key to attracting more followers on the Instagram algorithm.
