Nails 101: A Student Blog

Week 8: Nail Chemistry and Christmas Nail Art

by Tiffany Williams | December 20, 2016 | Bookmark +

This week was a busy week. We got seven new girls in our class and the other girls went to the senior floor. I have two more units before I go to the senior floor and start taking clients. At my school, we accept the public and perform services on them. I can't believe I'm so close to going to the senior floor — it feels like I just started beauty school and already I'm about to be a senior.

We studied the basics of chemistry and nail product chemistry this week. I really liked the nail product chemistry chapter because it teaches you what you need to know about the chemicals in your nail products so you can avoid any accidents in the salon. I know we have another big test coming soon, so I've been making sure I study each chapter thoroughly and have a complete understanding of what the chapter is talking about.

During our practice time we did the steps of a manicure and I designed a Christmas nail art theme. I also did a Christmas theme on my own hands. I hope everybody has a wonderful Christmas and Happy Holidays! Thank you so much for reading my blog! I'll see you in Week 9!
