Will I See You in Chicago? How About Houston?

There are two industry trade shows coming up this month, one in the north and one in the south. Will you be attending?

Beginning March 25th and running through the 27th is America’s Beauty Show in Chicago. This is pretty centrally located for U.S.-based techs and a popular show for industry professionals. Recognizing that they needed to do more to impress the nail professional, the show brought in knowledgeable and savvy nail pros like Ashley Gregory of The Nailscape to advise them. In addition to actually asking a nail tech for input, they are also hosting the NAILS Next Top Nail Artist award ceremony and celebration! Who are you rooting for to take home the title this year? There are still tickets available to the NTNA event so make sure you secure yours before they sell out.

INTA is the internal nail division of the show, known in full as the International Nail Technicians Association. They have crafted the hashtag #NailsElevated in hopes of helping nail professionals find more education in order to elevate our part of the industry. Be sure to watch for the hashtag on social media throughout the show, whether you are there in person or following from home! You will be pleased to know that the nail booths have been clustered together to create Nails Central, making it easier to find what you’re looking for without combing the show floor in frustration. I will be in the CND booth and would love for you to swing by and say hi. Don’t be afraid to snag a selfie with me while you’re there!

Next up is the Best lil Nail Show Texas, held in Houston. This one is nothing but nails, so if you are a licensed nail professional with no need to visit anything beyond the nail booths, this one is a go-to event. You will find the bigger companies you’re used to side by side with some of the smaller companies that you don’t see at a larger show. This one technically goes from April 1-3, however if you are going to compete in the first-ever U.S. based Nailympia, there are categories held March 31. As mentioned in a previous blog, I will be competing and broadcasting Live on the NAILS Facebook page, and would love to see you in the competition arena!

Another very exciting aspect is the Tech Talk hosted by Associated Nail Professionals, whom you may know as ANP. Industry legend Rise Carter is the membership director for nails and has worked to bring in an amazing guest speaker. Part of me would like to tease you about how cool the speaker is this week and not give you a name until next week; however, I don’t want you to miss out on getting registered in time in case the spaces sell out.

ANP presents Tech Talk with Jen Planck! If you have not heard Jen speak, she is a motivational maestro of words who will invigorate your spirit and send you out ready to conquer the world. I have had the honor of seeing her several times and am counting the days to listen to her speak again. She has been where we are and in some instances a little lower. You will be glad you met her when it is all said and done. She should be on your bucket list of speakers to see; I have a life-changing takeaway every single time. Click here for more details and to register. Members of ANP will have complimentary entry to the event — you just need to register! Not a member yet? No problem, it’s a small fee and you are welcome too.

Hopefully I will have the privilege of seeing you at one of these two shows. Please be sure to stop by the CND booth and say hello!
