Whew what a weekend I had at Premiere Orlando! Another tradeshow down, and a good time to be had by all. What are some of the things you did or saw? Here’s a quick run-through of my weekend:

Thursday was for flying in, with a couple of flight delays and missed connections due to flight delays, it was 3 a.m. when I finally hit the hotel for the night. In true Road Warrior fashion, I was back up and ready to leave for work at 8 a.m.

On Friday the CND classroom team set up the room, got the goody bags ready for all the classes, and began rehearsals. You would be surprised how much work goes on behind the scenes to get a classroom ready for attendees. There’s also a lot of practicing going on to be sure the class is as beneficial as possible for nail professionals. We even go back to our rooms at the end of the day and practice some more!

On Saturday the show floor hadn’t opened yet, however the classroom was open for business. Some final rehearsals in the morning then it’s time for class. The first class actually had three industry icons speaking to Advancing the State of the Industry and Trend Prediction. CND’s Jan Arnold gave a glimpse into fall New York Fashion Week (#NYFW) and the looks coming in 2017. Wildflowers’ Lauren Wireman unleashed her passion for the industry and its future with improvements in education for students. To round things out we heard from Schoon Scientific’s Doug Schoon about the differences between hazard and risk. He really brought home how much fear-based advocate groups are hurting our industry and how we can fight it. You can view my Facebook live recording for the class at https://youtu.be/k368-k6cYDM.

Talk about a class of heavy hitters: Jan Arnold, Lauren Wireman, and Doug Schoon all on the same stage.

Saturday night was the annual NAILS Nailtech Networking Orlando Social. It has evolved from the BeautyTech BBQ into this amazing giant event where icons, and legends, mingle with nail techs, students, and manufacturers. This is something I look forward to every year: the opportunity to meet and mingle with friends no matter what company we work for or product we love, simply sharing our passion for the industry together.

Sunday was the first day of an open show floor and there was lots going on. What were some of your favorite booths? Share your most exciting purchase with us! Thank you to all of you who took the time to come say hello to me in the classroom! I appreciate you and your support so very much.

My first time appearing on the CND classroom stage at Premiere arrived during the afternoon class. You can see the Facebook Live recording here. The class went by so fast we didn’t get to answer all of the questions that were asked so I got educators to make a follow-up video with answers to the remaining questions for you! It’s at https://youtu.be/gclKabbIGyQ.

I’m so lucky to co-facilitate my first CND stage class in Orlando with one of my mentors, Kristina Saindon.

Monday was the final show day and the last chance for classes and shopping, as well as the day your feet are letting you know that as a nail tech you are used to sitting all day! A HUGE thank you to all of you who came to support me in my first time fully teaching at Premiere Orlando in the CND classroom on stage. You, the nail professional, are why I do all of the things I do. My dream is for all of you to be as successful as possible!

Monday night the show ended and everything had to be packed back up again. It is bittersweet. If you were not able to attend the show, you can still join my class via the FB Live recording.
