My First Facebook Live E-file Practice Is Set for August 7

by Holly Schippers | August 1, 2017

Let’s learn e-files together! I now have dates set for two Facebook Lives on the NAILS Magazine page. I’ll be using the studio of #BFFmel, so there’s an awesome place to set up as well as good Wi-Fi for broadcasting.

The dates are August 7 and 14 at 10 a.m., CST. Just to be sure, that means 11 a.m. if you’re on the East Coast of the U.S. and 8 a.m. on the West Coast. No worries if you miss it live — it will be saved and posted to my YouTube channel. If you subscribe to the page, it will let you know when the videos are available.

For session one, let’s work on control and precision with filing. If you would like to participate and practice with me in session one, you will need the following:

  • 3-4 hard-boiled eggs
  • 3-4 wooden pencils
  • 1 dark crayon
  • Medium/course sanding bands
  • Table towels
  • Your e-file

I will let you know what tools you will need for session two at the end of session one.

Reopening? Know Your Numbers

by Michele Baker

For those of you that like a little data with your info, here is some really interesting information from salon owner Michele Baker in Georgia. Being one of the first states to open left the salon owners to scramble to learn a lot of things on their own and many have been generous in sharing things they have figured out to help make operating in the COVID-19 world more systematic and understandable.
