Don’t Let Dehydration Slow You Down During the Holidays

With the holiday season beginning at Halloween, it seems like a great time to remind you about taking care of yourself while working through the next couple of months. One of the most important things you can do for yourself is to hydrate. Drinking more water may seem frustrating since you will need to allow time to use the restroom, but if you are not getting enough water, it can have consequences.

As nail professionals, we already abuse our bodies with poor posture, irregular meals, limited sleep, etc. Throwing dehydration into the mix could lead to more fatigue and muscle aches that come from the lack of water. If you dislike the flavor of water, my followers on Instagram and Facebook have some great suggestions on what you can add to make it more appealing:

-cucumber
-strawberry and orange
-pineapple and mint or lemon and mint
-lemon
-grapefruit or tangerine
-rosemary
-lemon, strawberry, and basil
-oranges
-lemon, mint, cucumber, and ginger
-lemon lime, strawberry, raspberry, or cucumber mint
-oranges with blueberries
-lime, cucumber and mint
-cantaloupe
-pineapple
-strawberry, lemon, and spearmint
-mint leaves
