One of the perks of working in the nail industry is constantly being surrounded by strong, inspiring, and creative women. I could have spent March 8 (known as International Women's Day) at the NAILS office with our fearless, fun, female team, but it was nice to get out and see two women who I also admire and enjoy spending time with. Morgan Haile and Taylor Daniel have been unstoppable since launching Morgan Taylor in 2013 (at my first industry trade show, no less). I feel like I have grown in the industry alongside them (they, of course, literally grew up with nails).
The brand has been committed to doing more charity/community-based collaborations, which is one of the reasons I love working with these two. Morgan and Taylor celebrated International Women's Day by raising funds for I Am That Girl. The lacquer brand partnered with Hapa Cupcakes to sell an exclusive Royal Temptations-inspired cupcake. Proceeds from the pink-frosted cakes were matched by Gelish and donated to I Am That Girl. Guests who walked away with the Vanilla Pink Swirl and Let Them Eat Strawberries & Champagne Cupcake were also treated to gift bags from Morgan Taylor containing polish and other brand goodies.
I loved attending an event where women supported so many other women in local business. See more images by following #somanicupcakes.
