Often misunderstood, Disney villains are enrobed in mystery, seduction, and intrigue. The Blonds aim to unravel the complexity of these iconic characters within their SS19 collection runway show. Phillipe and David Blond were inspired by these flawed symbols and translated them in a bold, luxurious way, taking the tragic heroes of the most breathtakingly beautiful dark fairytales and putting them center stage for the Spring/Summer 2019 show.

For SS19, nails were longer and conveyed danger down to the very last razor-sharp stiletto tip. In the style of The Blonds, this season’s nails were a mix of bold textures including sleek, shiny eel-like skin, reflective metallic fragments, and three-dimensional embellishments.

Nail Look: Evil Mistress by CND Design Lab nail artist Tracey Lee

When creating this nail look, Tracey knew no nail would be complete without a focus on this villain’s iconic horns. Holographic green flakes represented dragon skin, venom, and danger down to the very last stiletto tip.

Nail Look: Couture by CND Design Lab nail artist Lauren Wireman

Emotionally volatile, over-the-top eccentric, and undeniably fashion-fabulous, this Disney villain is not one to let anything get in her way, including 101 spotted puppies. This bespoke set is made up of individually curated nails in this Dalmatian obsessed-villain’s usual fashion – eye-catching, dramatic, and full of spots and pops of blood red. The nail look is accented with a spotlight on this character’s unmistakable white and black hair, constructed with feather plumes.
