“Don’t underestimate the effectiveness of a window sign,” says Ron Zilkowski, president of LED sign-maker Inskrib. “A sign in a salon’s front window advertising daily specials is shown to increase business up to 15%. A simple ‘walk-ins welcome’ sign can add new customers each week.” To be most effective, however, your message should change frequently. Zilkowski recommends scrolling different messages in 15-second spots. “The new generation of LED signs are affordable and programmable via iOS or Android apps. It’s easy to create and change custom messages via Bluetooth,” he says.
