Good news for clients embarrassed by discolored fungal toenails: A new treatment is available through licensed podiatrists that can be used in conjunction with antifungal laser treatments. The KeryFlex Nail Restoration System covers up fungal nails with a flexible and durable coat that mimics the look of a real toenail. A resin material is applied to the nail and hardened with a special light that bonds the material and the nail together. The coating can last up to eight weeks, and clients are able to polish their nails at home as they would with an authentic toenail. Clients should not receive laser treatment for nail fungus while KeryFlex nails are in place, although they can be applied immediately after completing laser treatment.

The product is only available to foot care providers — licensed podiatrists in the US and chiropodist in Canada. For more information, visit www.keryflex.com.
