The fifth annual Beauty Changes Lives Experience was held at the Art Institute of Chicago during America's Beauty Show by Cosmetologists Chicago. The gala paid tribute to Matrix and Ardell co-founders Sydell and Arnold Miller, the first co-recipients of the Legacy award, and raised funds to support the next generation of beauty professionals. Previous recipients of the Legacy award include Vidal Sassoon, Tippi Hedren, Leo Passage, and Howard Murad.
"We are happy to witness the growth of this annual industry event and support the Beauty Changes Lives Experience as the signature Sunday evening event at ABS 2017," says Paul Dykstra, CEO of America's Beauty Show by Cosmetologists Chicago.
Guests were treated to a runway show featuring nine Beauty Changes Lives NextGen Teams, including the only nail-focused team from CND. CND brought nail art to the masses with our Top 3 nail artists from NAILS Next Top Nail Artist (NTNA) Season 4 who were menotored by last year's NexGen nail artist and NTNA S.3 winner Winnie Huang.
Liina Leino, Jonny Diep Pham, and Tracey Lee represented the nail community by forecasting future nail trends for this year's BCLE theme, "The Art of Prediction." Their art on the runway came directly from a set of nails created for their final NTNA challenge that helped decide this year's winner and Next Top Nail Artist in Season 4.
