“Did another salon ruin your manicure?” That question plays a central role in Images Luxury Nail Lounge’s outreach to potential new clients. Through its #HappierNails promotion, the small but growing Orange County, Calif., salon chain offers free nail repairs to anyone who is unhappy with the nails they received at another salon. After Images has made the necessary repairs, the client is encouraged to post before and after shots to her social media accounts using the #HappierNails hashtag.

“We are in the nail business and we want to make sure that every client — whether ours or not — is happy with her nails,” says Images’ Moe Iftikhar. “We have many unhappy clients come in every month to have their nails fixed by us at no cost to them. Mostly, it’s a nail chip or really sloppy work done by a nail tech at a different salon.”

Images publicizes the promotion within the salon, on its website, and via its social media feeds.
