Southern California-based nail salon franchise Bellacures opened its eighth location in El Segundo, Calif., in August. The 918-sq.-ft. South Bay location introduced the chain’s new brighter, more modern look, which features a backdrop of white, gray, and green, sleek metal and wood furniture, industrial lighting, and calming greenery. Founder Samira Far hopes the fresh, simple look she characterizes as “cozy rustic modern” will create a serene environment for clients.

“We worked with an interior designer/architect team to perfect our vision and ensure our clients are comfortable,” says Far. “We love the new planters that line the walls with lots of greenery. Our new chair design includes an interior cubby for clients to store purses and a port to charge their electronics.” The custom-designed chairs use plastic tubs with disposable liners for pedicures, so manicures and pedicures can be done in the same chair, and even at the same time.
