Winterized Nail Art by Gelish

Seasonal Spiral
1. After completing your Gelish nail prep, apply a thin coat of Ice Queen Anyone? to the entire nail, making sure to cap the free edge. Cure for 30 seconds in the 18G LED Lamp. Repeat for full coverage.


2. With Flirt in a Skating Skirt and a gel striper brush, paint a swirl design. Do not cure.


3. Use the Harmony Marbling Tool to etch out a thin line in the center of the swirl design. Cure for 30 seconds.


4. Use Artic Freeze and a marbling tool to paint small dots around the swirl design. Cure for 30 seconds. Apply Top It Off to the entire nail, making sure to cap the free edge. Cure for 30 seconds. Using Nail Surface Cleanse and Wipe It Off lint-free wipes, cleanse the inhibition layer. Complete the service by massaging Nourish Cuticle Oil into the skin surrounding the nail plate.

Gold Trim
1. After completing your Gelish nail prep, apply a thin coat of Rocking My Stocking to the entire nail, making sure to cap the free edge. Cure for 30 seconds in the 18G LED Lamp. Repeat for full coverage.


2. Using a dotting tool and Let’s Get Frosty, apply a dot to the top and center of the nail.

3. Use a mini striper brush to paint details surrounding the dot.


4. After you achieve your desired design, cure for 30 seconds. Apply Top It Off to the entire nail, making sure to cap the free edge. Cure for 30 seconds. Using Nail Surface Cleanse and Wipe It Off lint-free wipes, cleanse the inhibition layer. Complete the service by massaging Nourish Cuticle Oil into the skin surrounding the nail plate.

Congratulations to Jodie Rahaley, who took the top spot in this year’s Mini Masterpiece nail art contest after entering the two previous years. Her detailed, contrasting rendition of “Urban Expressions” by Michael Lang impressed the judges. Other beautiful entries ranged from the ever-popular Vermeer to Dali and Basquiat.
