Why Students Should Attend ISSE Long Beach 2016

by Tracy Rubert | December 10, 2015

The International Salon and Spa Expo Long Beach is the largest beauty industry event held on the West Coast.

Produced by the Professional Beauty Association (PBA), The International Salon and Spa Expo (ISSE) Long Beach is more than just a traditional “hair” show. ISSE has evolved to include a diverse exhibitor base, including hair, nails, cosmetics, esthetics, wellness, and massage.

Nail students should attend ISSE to learn about future opportunities and to keep up with current industry products and trends via the show’s creative presentations, competitions, and runway events held on two large stages and throughout the expo floor. Students can also create their own schedules of professional education with a varied lineup of student and early professional demos and classes from companies like Gelish, Akzentz, Artistic Nail Design, EZ Flow, ibd, and more.

For students who are looking to hone their competition skills, NAILS Magazine will present the class, “How Professionalism Breeds Success in the Nail Business: An Insider’s Perspective With NTNA Winner Lavette Cephus.” Additionally, NAILS Magazine editors will be at the NAILS Magazine booth chatting with attendees and providing complimentary copies of NAILS and VietSalon magazines.

ISSE Long Beach will be held January 30-February 12, 2016 at the Long Beach Convention Center and is open to licensed salon/spa professionals, cosmetology students, and instructors only. To maintain a professional atmosphere, attendees must present proof of license and a valid photo ID. For additional information on ISSE Long Beach and to purchase tickets, visit www.probeauty.org/isselb.
