Carrosse de Beauté, a new nail and makeup studio in Xanthi, Greece, appeals to the princess in every woman. Owner Maria Sotiriadou contacted the interior designer Ioannis Pouspourikas (www.cube-constructions.gr) to design her new studio, Carrose de Beauté, which literally translates to “beauty carriage.” Surprisingly, it was Sotiriadou’s Internet search for a French macaron recipe that really got her design juices flowing. “I always loved Paris and vintage things, and while I was searching for the recipe I began sending images to the designer of the salon for him to see my style,” she says. “He got inspired by old Paris and was able to capture the elegance of the period in order to transform a small place to this unique concept of the beauty carriage. It is quite detailed — even the wheels on the facade spin electronically. The carriage theme is also for women who want to feel special, like Cinderella.”

If your salon has an unusual theme, e-mail a brief description and photos to judy.lessin[at]bobit.com.
