Tammy Taylor took an honest-to-goodness hands-on approach to teaching. She guided House of Nails owner Valerie Sam’s hand so she could really get a feel for Taylor’s technique of creating perfect pink-and-white acrylic nails.

Congratulations to Jodie Rahaley, who took the top spot in this year’s Mini Masterpiece nail art contest after entering the two previous years. Her detailed, contrasting rendition of “Urban Expressions” by Michael Lang impressed the judges. Other beautiful entries ranged from the ever-popular Vermeer to Dali and Basquiat.
