Rev Up Interest in Holiday Nail Art

by NAILS Staff | November 1, 2006

Monique Ware, the creative force behind these vibrant holiday nail art designs, says red never fails to get  clients feeling festive. “But this season keep the red shade a little darker to reflect the dark hues that designers used on the runways,” says Ware, a nail tech at Chicago’s Siren Salon. Here are her tips for heating up demand:

  • Less is more. Put art only on one nail instead of all of them.
  • A picture is worth a thousand words. Display nail art photographs at your station (similar to fashion lookbooks).
  • Work with your salon owner to create special deals and promotions for nail art. Be sure to include nail art as an option on the salon menu and website.
