Poshe's 4 in 1 Treatment Base was recently awarded patent #5662891 from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The product, made by Poshe (Almell Products, Ltd.), was given a patent based on some differences in content and usage.

"We have the only nail strengthener that is toluene- and formaldehyde-free," said Chris Gamell, VP of marketing. It is also recommended for use every second or third day instead of every day like many other nail treatments.

The company worked for two years to come up with the formulation, which includes panthenol as one of its key ingredients. They spent another year applying and waiting for a patent.

Gamell says, "We feel this really makes us stand alone."
