Our most successful promotion was offering a full set of acrylic nails for only $29.95 in November and December. We usually charge $40 for this service. The response was overwhelming and we were inundated with customers.
Our salon is in a resort area so to generate business when we opened last June, we offered a free nail service to all of the women who work at the front desk of each resort. The promotion served a dual purpose. Not only did some of the women become regular clients, but they also spread the word about our salon to other people as well.
Blue Moon Hair and Nails
We offered a new service, airbrushing, beginning this year because a lot of clients requested it and didn’t want to drive for miles to get it done. For the entire month of January we included a free airbrushed design with a full set of acrylic nails.

During prom season and the holidays, we offer free nail art on two nails with a full set of acrylic nails.

To drum up new business when I moved to a new location, over a two-month period I gave clients a gift certificate for a manicure if they purchased a full set of nails or a manicure/pedicure combination. In another promotion, which I offered for two days, I enlisted the help of the surf shop next door. I gave free nail art to every customer who bought a T-shirt.
Cheryl Clay Salon
I offer a free paraffin dip in August and September to my regular clients. It’s important to recondition and rehydrate nails and skin prior to fall and winter. This helps to prevent dehydration and brittle nails, which, in turn, leads to less nail breaks and chapped skin.
I give a free paraffin dip with every pedicure during the winter months because many of my clients get dry, cracked feet.
Last summer we had a successful Gena Laboratories pedicure promo. If clients got a pedicure during the months of June-August, they received a free bag of sample-sized foot care products from Gena.
