As warm summer weather shifts to crisp fall days, nail trends change too, with bright, tropical summer looks giving way to autumn designs. Delight your clients with nail designs that not only feature the colors of fall, but call to mind popular autumn scents, too.

Fall Flowers and Leaves
Although bright flowers are a summer staple, a more muted flower look is perfect for fall. Flowers and leaves in browns, soft reds, creams, and rusts will please your clients, bringing to mind an autumn garden. There are many on-trend twists on floral and leaf designs, from 3-D to geometric and hand-painted creations.

Pumpkin Spice
Who doesn’t love pumpkin spice? Orange and caramel colors are fall staples, suggesting the spiced scent of popular autumn coffee drinks and homey holiday baking. Cinnamon and chocolate colors make a great addition to seasonal nail art, too.

Mood-changing
A popular trend, mood-changing polish is a great addition to fall colors. Clients can come in from the cold sporting nails of one color, then watch them change as they warm up with a hot drink. Long nails show an ombre effect as the color slowly changes.

Greenery
Just because leaves are changing doesn’t mean you have to stop wearing green! From rich emerald to lighter mint and matcha tea shades, green is still in this autumn. It’s not just for leafy nail art: Abstract and geometric designs look great in green, too.

White and Nude
White and nude colors are perennial classics. Rather than going with a pure white, off-white, cream, and light brown shades can provide a more subtle design, suggesting vanilla and cappuccino. These colors will appeal to clients who are fans of neutral colors, but still want to be on trend.

Autumn Scents
Clients love trendy fall nail designs, but what if you could appeal to their senses in more ways than one? Many scents are associated with fall and the holidays, and LeChat’s new Mood Café collection brings both the colors and the fragrance of fall. The scented, body temperature-activated gel-polish collection includes such shades and fragrances as French Vanilla, Cappuccino, Chocolate Mocha, Pumpkin Spice, Cinnamon Latte, and Matcha Mint. Each shade provides an extreme color change as body temperature changes, giving clients two colors in one — plus a delicious fragrance at their fingertips.
