Five Things We Learned From a Salon Coach

Last night's Virtual Happy Hour on Instagram Live with Ashley Gregory, Salon Coach, gave us a ton of information. Here are five things we learned.

1. Update Your Email List -- Now!

Just because you're quarantined doesn't mean you can't reach out to clients and check on them AND make sure you have their correct contact info. Having an email list is a form of communication you own (you don't own social media platforms), so utilize it.

2. Email Language Can Be Conversational

You shouldn't speak in an email communication as you do in a text message, but you can be conversational and less formal. Remember, these are people you know!

3. Subject Lines Should Be Personable AND Eye-Catching

Use emojis or a unique hook to stand out from other emails in an inbox.

4. Content is King

The contents of your email can be anything from scheduling information to images of your nail art to at-home care.

5. There's a Relax Your Hand Cocktail!

Ashley whipped this up just for our happy hour! Recipe is here.
