Kailie Windecker was a boat mechanic in the Marine Corps stationed in Okinawa Japan. After being honorably discharged, she got a job as a vterinary technician in Killeen, Texas. There, she was able to work with a variety of animals.
She then decided to become a nail technician in Kingman, Ariz., to get another certification under her belt and fulfill her love for being artistic. "I am utilizing the ability to make my own schedule, which will become useful when I attend the registered nursing program here soon," says Windecker.
Windecker says she wants to "help encourage everyone to not be pressured to just have one career path." "I have so many more options and love all that I do," she says.
