Jenny Meek of Classy Nails by Jenny in Fletcher, Okla., found a great way for wives and daughters to experience a special Father’s Day salon service in honor of the dads in their lives. She embeds photos — brought in by her clients — into their nail art.  Something as simple as just a photo on the client’s thumbs can keep a manicure wearable while still giving it that additional meaning.

She suggests embedding photos in one of two ways. Using CND Shellac or the gel-polish of your choice, apply base coat, color, and top coat, and then cure. Then apply a coat of foil glue and stick a thumbnail-sized picture printed from your computer on regular paper onto the glue. Apply another layer of top coat and cure the nail again.
Another way to incorporate personalized photos into your nail art is to create your own customizable nail wraps online through brands like Jamberry Nails. Start advertising this service far in advance in your salon to give yourself or your clients ample time to create and receive the product. Regardless of whether or not you use a DIY manufacturer to create the nail wraps, you can still offer to apply it in the salon for a more professional and long-lasting look.
