The spirit of Rio could be felt in Amsterdam when nail techs, educators, salon owners, and distributors from Europe and Russia gathered on June 9-10 for the second-annual EZ Flow and IBD Nail Competition.

auty Factory – drew roughly 100 competitors who vied on four competitions, each with three divisions (novice, apprentice, and master). All director of education Garl Dawn Tingler represented the U.S. on the international panel of judges.

The show’s there – Carnival in Rio – served as the inspiration in the nail art categories, while Brazilian music and dance entertained attendees between competitions. Participants were also treated to a Beauty Plaza, which offered professional demonstrations and beauty treatments, including pink-and-white toenails sculpted with IBD gels.
