Think back to your youth—long sunny days filled with jungle gyms, apple juice, and, of course, finger-painting. Those days are not so long ago at You’re Soaking In It, a Van Nuys, Calif., nail salon where clients are encouraged leave their mark with brightly colored tempera paints. Owner Hayley Alexander encourages clients to dip a hand (or foot) into the water-soluble paint and place a print, along with a signature, on one of the salon white walls. “The idea just came to me, probably because I had some big, blank walls to decorate,” Alexander explains. “What’s more, clients really enjoy it.”Of course, clients dip before their manicures.
