Hand and foot care continue to make significant inroads into the spa world. These statistics from the international Spa Association’s 2003 Spa-Goer study indicate that nails are being taken seriously by clients and spa management alike.

Out of the 22 most popular spa treatments, spa-style manicures rank third and spa-style pedicures rank sixth.

One out of five (21%) Americans say they have visited at least one type of spa in the past 12 months. The gender breakdown is 26% of women and 16% of men.

Fifty-four percent of spa-goer purchase spa products during their spa visit.

Fifty-three percent of female spa-goers receive spa-style pedicures and 60% receive spa-style manicures.
