Cosplay Nails: Fandom Fingertips for the Cosplayer

We asked nail techs to help us put the POW! on cosplay nails inspired by comic book characters.

Every summer at the world famous San Diego Comic-Con and at comic conventions nationwide, super fans cosplay to showcase their homemade or purchased costumes and craftsmanship. Caped crusaders of the convention scene dress up as characters from a comic book, movie, book, or video game as a creative outlet. Why not play along and offer nail art featuring your client’s favorite superhero or super villain? We asked nail techs to help us put the POW! on nails inspired by super powerful characters.

Fish Mooney (DC Comics) — Lexi Martone from North Eastern N.Y. created these nails for Jada Pinkett Smith, whose hands are pictured, in character as Fish Mooney for the TV season finale of Gotham on FOX. “Fish Mooney was coming back as a true villain and needed a serious weapon nail,” says Martone. The nails were also inspired by Gotham City’s building tops.
