It’s been 20 years since Feet First Buffing Pads hit the Ron McCoy marketplace. Developed by Ron McCoy in 1986, the buffing pad was sold exclusively to podiatrists—first under the name “Happy Feet,” then “Healthy Feet.” It immediately became a top-selling podiatric item and a second product, Healthy Feet Conditioning Scrub, was added to the line.

In the early 1990s, McCoy Enterprises sold Mini Pumi Pads at state fairs across the country. It was also around this time that the company began marketing the buffing pads to the professional beauty industry, under the brand name “Feet First.” Next came the Feet First Spa line, which includes Conditioning Scrub, Silk Essence Lotion, and Callus Removal Drops. More recently Pamper Me Sugar Scrub was added.

Sadly, in March 2006, McCoy passed away, leaving his wife Laura at the helm of McCoy Enterprises. In May, the company gave the product packaging a “foot lift” inspired by Ron McCoy. The company continues to enjoy tremendous growth.
