Tip of the Month: Use a Client Card for Traveling Customers

Terri Lundberg, national education director for Elegant Glass (Huntington Beach, Calif.), offers this tip to assist clients who travel frequently: Before a client goes on a trip, write all pertinent information about her nails on an index card. Include what type and brand product and polish she wears, and any special nail needs — even note the size of the tips you use. Remember to include your name and phone number. Explain to your client that if she has any problems with her nails while on the road, she can give this card to a technician to aid her in making repairs. This accomplishes two objectives: First, you let her know how important she is to you, and second, you ensure that the nails are maintained properly.
