NSI’s Soothing Soak Off Product Remover is a healthier alternative to acetone-based soak-off removers, says the company. Containing essential oils such as vitamin C and vitamin E, the remover is effective in soaking off clients’ acrylic enhancements and gel-polish, but its ingredients are intended to nourish the skin and cuticles rather than dry them out.

Here’s how to use it:

1. Shake the bottle as contents may settle at the bottom.

2. Fill a bowl with Soothing Soak Off Remover and place the tips of the fingers in the solution.

3. While soaking, the product should soften and frill at the edges. When ready, use an orangewood stick to peel off the rest of the product. Continue to file and soak until product is gone.

4. Wash hands with warm water and the nails are ready for reapplication of product.
