“I love the idea of a salon highlighting some of its favorite OPI colors in its decor,” says Laurie March, a Los Angeles-based interior designer and project manager. March has made a name for herself custom designing pillows that match OPI polish colors.
Inspiration hit while March was looking for fabric for one of her clients. “I passed by a velvet that matched my nails and I had to have it,” she says. March adds that washable pillows are a smart seasonal accent choice. “They are an inexpensive way to add a big pop of color and fun to a salon’s seating areas.”
March can match any shade of OPI polish, though she says her personal favorites are Russian Navy and Lincoln Park After Dark (shown).
