Cuccio director of global education Marilyn Olemma Garcia visited El Salvador and Brazil to provide training to educators and nail techs. In August, the company held an educator training for 22 educators in El Salvador, as well as a training session for 143 nail techs. The nail techs were trained in how to apply Cuccio’s Powder Polish Dip System and LED gels. “The highlight of my trip was hearing from the nail techs how easy is to do nails with the Powder Polish system and how many clients they can attend to in one day using that system versus traditional acrylic systems,” she says. “They were excited and optimistic again.”

In October 2017, Garcia visited Bello Horizonte in Brazil to hold three days of training for all of Cuccio’s educators, salesforce, and distributors. Cuccio has 60 educators from all over Brazil. “Brazil is a fast-growing market in nails,” says Garcia. The Cuccio Brazil seminar reached its maximum capacity of 422 nail techs under one roof.

Garcia says that getting to travel the world for trainings is one of her favorite parts of her job. “We need to get out of our bubble and see how other people see our industry and how doing nails changes lives,” she says. “It gives people the tools to make money and have a better quality of life.”
