Crowdsourcing: What is Your Biggest Client Pet Peeve?

This month we asked nail techs: What is your biggest client pet peeve?

After touching the dispersion layer, saying “I think my nails are still wet — they feel sticky.” I don’t know how many times I’ve explained to them what this is.

When I get a text or DM on Thursday or Friday asking, “Do you have any openings tomorrow?” Then after I say no, they call the salon to “make sure.”

Running their hands through or touching their hair while I’m in the middle of polishing.

Bringing in full meals to eat with their fingers while I do their manicure.

When I recommend gel-polish because they are in a hurry, but they choose regular polish and then ask, “How long will this take to dry?”

My biggest pet peeve is having to discuss pricing, location, and confirmation. Then after explaining everything, they are a no-show. I cannot explain enough that if they do not show up, they take my time and I don’t get paid.
